Peru balsam essential oil is produced from an evergreen tree growing up to 140 feet and has very large leaves. The huge size of the seed makes it very hard. Despite its name, the tree does not grow in Peru, it is primarily grown in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. The essential oil is extracted from oleoresin, which is tempted out the trees in different ways. It is also called Balsam De Peru essential oil.
